DJ, model and classically trained violist Sofie Fatouretchi has teamed up with hip-hop producer Mndsng (pronounced Mind Design) on a chilled new jazzy number 'Abeja', which is part of a compilation album curated by Fatouretchi herself, highlighting some of the best underground hip-hop and soul gems. Fatouretchi is part of the original boiler room crew, and also hosts a monthly called SOS on NTS radio which is worth checking out. The accompanying visuals to the pair's track 'Abeja', (meaning 'bee' in Spanish) features the two riding around Los Angeles on a sunny afternoon, visiting vibrant painted murals and their friends along the way. The song is an instrumental hip-hop jam consisting of an easy-going beat, breezy jazz piano, upright bass and summery strings. It's reminiscent of hazy summer days, driving with the window open, letting the sun warm your skin. It's a wonderfully jubilant track and an easy listen, check it out. -Ellie Rose-Davies
